Scovilles’ Longtime Support of NCH Continues Through Estate-Plan Gift

Pat ScovillePat and Homer Scoville initially got involved with NCH Healthcare System in 2011 after Pat spent a day touring and learning about NCH through the prestigious civic organization Greater Naples Leadership. “I had no idea of the scope of services and expertise available through NCH. It was eye opening,” Pat said. “The exceptional care Homer and I have received over the years has reaffirmed that first impression again and again.”

The Scovilles have expressed their appreciation for their care in many different ways, giving back both financially and through service. Both served as volunteers, were longtime members of the Medical Diplomats Council, and have given generously over the last decade. Sadly, Homer passed away in 2018. Through his and Pat’s decision to include NCH as a beneficiary in their estate plan, his legacy of generous giving continues through a transformational gift. In addition, Pat continues to support NCH in areas she is passionate about, most recently funding a new Pilates studio at the Briggs Wellness Center Downtown where she and Homer enjoyed so much time together.

“There are tons of worthy nonprofits out there doing wonderful things, but it has been very important to us to support organizations and people in our community,” Pat said. “The larger, national organizations just didn’t feel personal enough. NCH is such an integral part of our community. We wanted access to excellent healthcare for ourselves and for our friends, neighbors, and all who live here.”
